Names, Etc. (3)

Names, Etc. (2)

Footprints.

Names, Etc.

Love?

Magic?

Waking up?

Numbers (2)

But a miracle?

There's generally nothing

to measure.

Numbers

You can measure

a crash site, fallout makes numbers

the machines can

digest.

Velocity

Tragedy has velocity -

that's all

I'm saying.

Merry Christmas, Guardsman-A-Day

Merry Christmas, Guardsman-a-Day!

This is our twelfth holiday season

together

and I'm so happy to be with you

again and again.

Away Team, And. . .

All the best data comes from disaster.

And Even More About Science

More About Science 2

I mean, the guys in the lab

have only got so many machines to work with.

More About Science

So

no surprises.

The Scientific Method

Hermetically sealed in

a rubber suit

to

take readings and observations with

sensors that

we ourselves designed to record what we anticipated

we might find, years

before we even arrived.

This, science.

Sensors (2)

Sensors

Functionally

your sensors can only

read

what they have been designed

to read.

On Further Observation (ii)

you're only as good as

your engineering.

On Further Observation

The basic problem with observation

is the basic problem

with hard science:

Observation

The acquisition of information

from

a primary source.

The First Rule

The first rule

is

Observation.
