That's the advantage/disadvantage of conducting the hobby out of an active painting studio, at any given moment I've got work surfaces covered with everything from oil paints to printmakers ink to colored pencil to sharpies. I'm diligently archival in my approach to painting and works on paper but part of what I love about miniatures and terrain is letting go of that and just being reckless with materials and form.
