  1. I love the blog, it gives me so many ideas for my own models.

Do you ever play 40K with the army you've collected, or is it more an art project of painting and collecting these days?

  2. First, thank you for reading the blog and I'm glad that it's a source of some inspiration. The fact that you'd take the time to mention that is an inspiration to me, and now I'm thinking and that's how it works I guess.

To answer your question, yes I love to play and I'm enjoying 7th edition a great deal. I think they've got the rules tightrope down in so far as points vs mobility vs cover saves go, the game itself I feel is the best it's been since I started playing (3rd ed). I play guard (non-imperial, but guard), and lost and damned. Very excited about IA 13. I also have a beautiful Chaos SM army and a big project of chaos orks, but my guard were my first army and will be my last. I have about seven hundred models in my guard army.

I also make a lot of terrain. I love the miniature world, and feel most strongly a part of it when the experience is more immersive.

I hope it's okay that I'm adding your blog to my blogroll, just glancing through it for the first time but I think we're on the same boat here. Not sure where you are, but if you ever get up to Washington State (USA) send me a message, bring your army over and let's play. I'll buy the refreshments.

    1. Happy to be added to your blog roll. I'm based in London, England, so it would be a little bit of a trip for a game!

I'd love to see a battle report of some kind from you - although I'm not sure Guardsman a Day is the right forum for it. It has a certain artistic purity as it is. ;-)
